Howdy, I'm New Here
 
Hello, Chunkylove here. Im 28 years old, Im chunky and Im full of love. Seriously though, Im trying to decrease the chunk. I have lost 30 lbs thus far in my efforts, and by August 2009 I am hoping to lose at least 30 more.

I have an odd sense of humor and usually only make myself laugh, but thats ok with me. I enjoy my own company and Im happy in my own skin. Im a size 16, not plus but just regular size 16 and I weigh about 210. My goal is to get to about 145-150 eventually. Im done with yo yo diets. Or being in a hurry, because that has slowed me down many times. I have done extensive research, and for people with my hormonal condition (PCOS) low carb/low glycemic is the best approach. It is harder for me than for the average person to lose weight.

Obstacles aside, I am determined with everything that I am, to lose this weight and become more active for life. I am finding things to keep me active that I enjoy doing, and low carb things that I enjoy eating so that I can do this for life, not just for a year or how ever long it takes to lose the weight. I have learned on this weight loss journey, that losing the weight is actually easier than keeping it off. So Im trying to really take my time losing it, and finding things to eat/do that I can continue. I mean I know better than to lose weight by eating just King crab legs and salad. Who can keep up with that grocery bill? I make low carb muffins in the microwave with flax seed meal and eggs and splenda and those are a great quick low carb breakfast and CHEAP too!

I guess my way of eating is a combination of a few diets: Low Carb, Low Saturated Fat, High MUFA (Mono Unsaturated Fatty Acids such as nuts, seeds, avocadoa, olives and olive oil) and also I do not eat much pork maybe a little bacon sometimes. Pork doesnt seem to agree with me. Also I dont eat much beef. Once in awhile I will have a steak or a burger, but for the most part I get my protien from soy, eggs, nuts, seeds, seafood and poulty.

Well thats all for now. I have to get back to what I was doing.
