Here we go!!!

Hi all! I've been a lurker for a little while. Since I signed up for a gym membership today and my first personal training session is Tuesday...I figured it was time to post and say hello! I really want to be serious this time and make it happen. Rather than just think about it all the time and feel guilty that I'm not doing it.

I just turned 30, and am just over 200 lbs. I guess I'll have official stats after Tuesday night. My highest weight was 217, and was down to 190 on my own. But it's crept back up, and I don't have a handle on it myself. I don't know what my goal is right now, I know I need to get in better shape and start dropping weight. I had wanted to do this before I turned 30, but I never got serious. I've been around the same weight, give or take, for about 8 years, and I'm sick of it.

I signed up at the gym with a very good friend of mine, and we're hoping to motivate each other. I also would love some online buddies/support!

Hi! Welcome to 3FC! Good luck with the trainer. I love my trainer and she has made a huge difference in how I eat, lift, and look. I found that writing down specific goals helped her come up with a plan to help me.

We have an active 30 something forum. Feel free to jump in whereever you find something interesting.

Hey Rockopera - :wel3fc:

You may want to check our our "30-somethings" forum, for those in your age range. We also have clubs by eating plan, lots of miscellaneous challenges, and other places to check out. So keep investigating and looking around!

Anyway, find a spot or many, jump on in, and get to posting (and losing!). Can't wait to get to know you better!
