Hello Everyone! After months and months of denying that I gained weight, it was confirmed by my family when they came to visit for the holidays and my mom had pictures of me from last year. I looked like a different person! I am currently 155, and in the pictures I was 130! Seeing those pictures motivated me to once again embark on the journey of weight loss...so here I am!
I have been working out 4 days a week since May. I lost 18lbs. then quit smoking and gained the 18 plus 7 more lbs!!!! I am upset but I know I have the desire and will to change. I am starting this fat smash on 1-9-09. Going shopping today for groceries but want to know if anyone on here is still doing this or if anyone can be my weight loss buddy???
Cococouture, you may want to chekc out our Featherweights forum...it's a special area for those starting at weights relatively close to goal. It presents unique challenges, for sure!

For both of you, you can also investigate our forums by age range, miscellaneous support groups, and challenges for that extra boost.
thickchicknomo - I just quit smoking too as my New Year's resolution, and it is SOOOO hard not to fall into the trap of replacing cigs with food. I did extreme fat smash a while ago, and it really did work, but it is hard to maintain. I gained all of the weight I lost back as soon as I stopped working out twice a day...which is what the extreme plan calls for.

I have a similar case to yours. All of a sudden it seems 30lbs just crept up on me from no where...well it was in about 4years, but it seems like i didn't notice it until all of a sudden I wasn't considered thin, I was described as chunky. Thats when I knew something had to change. I have been off and on for a while now, lose 5lbs, gain 5lbs.....but I want to reach my goal by this summer!!
