i'm new here and i'm a vegetarian on south beach
 

as if not being a vegetarian on the SBD weren't restrictive enough! these two weeks are going to be a doozy!

i'm excited to have found this forum - weight loss support is always a good thing!

i've got over 100 pounds to lose and have decided that this is the year that i dedicate to becoming as healthy as possible.

i'm really going to do it this time!

Good luck with South Beach- there's a pretty active SB section and there's also a veggie section (with TONS of recipes!)

And I LOVE your username :) I have a soft spot for lentils.

Please do check out both the Vegetarian Chicks forum and the South Beach forum. Both are wonderful, active groups with tons of tips, recipes, etc.

We also have forums by age range, and by amount to lose, including the 100 lb club, ANOTHER active, wonderful group of those on their way to losing or who have lost 100 lbs or more. You can also join miscellaneous clubs, challenges, etc. There are a LOT of places to explore!

So look around, find a spot, settle in, and get to posting. Can't wait to get to know you better!

I too am a newbie. I also have decided this is the year I am going to lose the weight. My goal for this year is to lose 50 lbs or more, no less.
I started my diet on the 2nd of January. I must say it is a battle. It isn't easy. It will take will power and determination.
I have found there is a lot of useful information and support on this site.
