Hi Asia!

Welcome to the boards

You're not much different than most of us!! You're not alone.

There is a 300+ club, and also boards that go by age group! You'll have to find what fits best for you.

No, there's no way to make a total lifestyle change overnight. It's best to pick small goals and work towards them, one at a time! Please browse the categories and see if there's any particular subject that interests you on the boards.

Hope to see you around!

Thanks!

Hi Asia - :wel3fc:

You are DEFINITELY not alone, or the biggest. Have you seen our 300+ club, or the 100 lb club for those with 100 lbs or more to lose? You'll find plenty of folks who know EXACTLY where you're coming from.

In terms of fitting in exercise, there are LOTS of things you can do INSIDE, never braving that cold weather. I like doing strength training videos at home, but you can do Walk Away the Pounds or other home walking videos, or just turn on some music and dance or go up and down the stairs. Start looking at your house in terms of what you can do to be more active, and you'll be surprised how many spots show up! Exercise videos are inexpensive and might be a great place to start while you wait for it to warm up.

For eating advice, look around! We have so many forums here by eating plan, each with great advice and discussion. So keep posting and exploring. I can't wait to get to know you better!

at my highest weight I was more than 320 pounds. and I live in northern canada. it is literally -50 degrees fahrenheit outside.

you dont have to change everything in one day. but you do have to change. and change PERMANENTLY. I started out by making small changes... 20 minutes of pilates. 20 minutes of walking. then keeping a food diary and drinking more water.

and repeat. ad naseum. forever. (it actually becomes enjoyable. Now the high I used to get from eating is the high I get from exercising)

 you can do it!
