My name is Elizabeth and I'm from Pennsylvania... I'm 33 and have been heavy my entire life. I have always been outgoing and vivacious and yet my weight still has always held me back.
I'm married to a wonderful man from Ireland, no biological children, 3 grown step children and (are you ready?) a step grandson.
This past summer I finally decided it was time to look into weightloss surgery, I wasn't getting any younger and nothing else seemed to be working. I know how a lot of people about surgery, but I was at my wits' end! So on Dec. 9th, at my docs' recommendation, I had gastric bypass. I've already lost around 20lbs and I feel fantastic!
That's probably enough (too much?) for an introduction! lol

Hey Elizabeth - congrats on your surgery, and I'm glad you've found our WLS board. We also have groups by age range (like the 30-somethings), and by amount to lose (such as the 100 lb club or the 300+ club) so look around, find a spot, and settle in.
