Hello
I've never joined a weight loss forum before. At the moment, my eating is out of control. I would say this is a compulsive behavior. I eat and I regret it and then I gain three more pounds. I've gained 12lbs since June. I think I might be depressed again. I take medication, but sometimes that's just not enough. My exercise routine is messed up. I do feel better when I exercise.
But like anything else the more time that goes by the harder it is to go back. I don't want to join WW again. I'm 54, the first time I joined I was 13. Not much has changed in 41 years - just lots more paper and books and points. Thanks for letter me ramble. I just wanted someone to talk to. Sailer |
Hey Sailer - :wel3fc:
First off, if your depression is being appropriately managed, you may want to talk to your doctor about adjusting your medication. You'll find it so much easier to stay on a positive track if your symptoms are under control. Second, I know (really...really...and truly know) how hard it is to motivate yourself to an exercise plan when you're dealing with depression symptoms. BUT...it really does help to alleviate those symptoms. So I'd suggest you start slow. Take a walk. Do a yoga tape. Start getting yourself into a habit of daily movement. It will get easier, but you have to make the commitment first. We have a great forum here for those 50+, and another forum for those who struggle with depression...these in addition to all of our great groups by eating plan. So look around, find a spot, and settle in. I can't wait to get to know you better! |

We're so glad to have you here. You'll find a lot of support & knowledge from the other members. No matter what, keep going forward. You can do this! All the best of success to you! |
