Hello to all!
My name is Lynny and I'm optimistically fat.....that means there's hope, right??
I've been overweight for several years after being 135-140 in my 30's. Seems once I hit 40 it all went to ****. I am now 205 (give or take a few depending on the time of day) and am battling a thyriod condition that I'm sure is playing a role. Meanwhile, I am having other health issues and am just getting over a rare lung infec. that they still can't name....have to have D&C in Jan. for female issues so I am a mess right now! I bought The Fat Resistance Diet book last spring and have read and read about inflammation in the body which I think is my problem. I have been on prednisone for two weeks due to the lung infec. and have never felt better so I'm sure inflammation is the culprit behind most of my problems. I am hoping that the diet in this book can help. I have not been able to adhere exactly to it due to blood sugar issues and the need for more carbs than it calls for, but I'm going to give it my all and eat the minimum, you know, kinda vary it up while still eating way less. I have cut sugar almost completely out of my diet, don't eat a lot of red meat and have really tried to bone up on the fruits and veggies. I have lost 3 lbs. this past two weeks due to sickness but am now going to concentrate on the diet aspects. So glad I found this place! I am hoping for some good company and understanding, motivation and inspirations from all of you! Nice to meet you all! PS: This is a new pic of me, but I have gotten really good at camera angles and hiding the huge turkey gobbler that hangs below my chin LOL |

:wel3fc: You'll find many different support groups around, as well as areas devoted to Programs, Exercise, and sections that focus on Obstacles in the way of losing weight. It still can be done! Look around, post wherever you're comfortable. Best of success!!! |

Thank you all for the welcome! I started a blog to keep track of my weight loss and what I'm eating etc. if anyone is interested! Not real sure if I'm doing it right, so if you have any pointers, let me know! Thanks again all!
