Hey everyone. My name is Allison, and I stumbled on to this site today. After looking through some of the threads I'm so excited! I've been looking for a group of people who can relate to my struggle with weight. I hope I can offer some help and recieve some to.
A little about me: I've been overweight since I was about 10. I've been yoyo dieting as long as can remember, going from nearly 200 pounds to as low as 145 and back again. This year I've gone from 198 pounds to 155 and have now been at 160 for about 5 months. This is the longest I have ever been able to maintain any weight and am really motivated not only to continue to lose but also to get into shape.
Current inspirations - 3 fat chicks and the dallas cowboys cheerleaders

I was a figure skater when I was younger, and trying to have a skater's body (when that's definitely not my natural body type) led to my disordered eating in the first place- so I think I know where you're coming from. Sometimes I wish I had picked rugby as my sport of choice instead.
thanks for the welcome! and i know what you mean about the rugby. figure skating was great but it definitely had some negative effects on my self esteem
