Newbie needs help!
Hello everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I am 25 yrs old and I have two little girls ages 16mos and 4mos. They are 1yr and 6 days apart. So basically I was pregnant for about 2 years straight. During that time I gained about 70 pounds with the 1st and 30 with the 2nd. Ive gone from 130 lbs to 240lbs. I feel horrible and I am really having trouble getting started. I have trouble finding time to exercise because I am really busy with the girls. Its hard to buy diet foods because I am a stay at home mom depending on my husbands income. I really need accountability partners and encouragement.

I have two kids also, though mine are older. I wish I had got a handle on my weight when I was 25. You really need to do this for you. I know how hard it is to find time as a busy mom, but taking care of yourself makes you a better mother. You can do it! When the babies are napping put in an exercise tape. Or all of you could go for walks. If you don't have a jogger/stroller maybe check out your local paper or garage sales for a good used one. Spend your grocery allotment on good, healthy food for your entire family, not just special food for you. You might want to check out our twenty-somethings board and our food forum has lots of ideas. Please post where you feel like. I'm glad you've joined us and I look forward to getting to know you better as we meet our weight loss goals together!:) |
