Hello from NY

Hi all. I am starting back on track and I wanted to say hi to everyone here and applaud all of your hard work! You are a great group here at 3 Fat Chicks.

Here’s a little about me….I am 49 years young and at that age where the pounds attach to the hips just by thinking about food. I originally found this forum back in 1999 or 2000 when I first joined Weight Watchers. I was more of a lurker back then and never posted. I hope to change that this time around!

I lost 42 pounds on WW doing the 1,2,3 program. I am a Lifetime member and an ex-employee. I did so well on the 1,2,3 program I was asked to be a receptionist/weigh in gal which I did part-time for almost 2 years.

Here it is 8 years later and I gained back all 42 pounds and then some. :( I stopped following the program due to sheer laziness, then I quit smoking 3 ½ years ago which has a lot to do with the weight gain. I would be happy to drop 50 pounds although 70 pounds would be ideal.

I started doing WW again last Thursday on my own, at home, using my old materials and I wanted to seek out a support group to help me on my journey. That's where you come into play! Maybe I could help you too???

I have been having a pretty easy time being on program so far but it’s still fresh and new. I even started walking the bus route home after I get off the subway. It’s a mile and a half walk so I am getting some exercise on a daily basis. I am at 206 pounds now and I know I have a long, hard journey ahead of me and I want to thank all of you in advance for being here for me when I will need it the most.

This was some long post for my 1st one....Sorry....I won't be as wordy in the future.

Good luck to all and keep up the good work!!!

Hey Grasshopper! :wel3fc:

You won't find a whole ton of people doing the old WW program, but we DO have a great, active Weight Watchers forum here - check it out!

We also have the 40-somethings group...you'd fit in perfectly there.

Congratulations on quitting smoking! You can do this the same way...commit to doing it and take it one step at a time.

Can't wait to get to know you better!

Hi grasshopper! So glad you are here! I'm doing WW online and have lost 14 lbs since mid-August. It was all fun and exciting at first but now I'm hitting that "gee this is a lot of work" part. But I'm committed :0

Hope to see you 'round the boards!

Hi Grasshopper

I am new too, 44, and guess what? FAT !! I just realized that after many many years. I thought if I didn't look in the mirror, I wouldnt be as fat as if I did. Oh boy !! My DIL posted a picture of me on her facebook...I could have killed her. OMGosh, I looked like a beached whale.

Well, fast forward 5 weeks, I am down 21 lbs on the WW flex plan. I am also doing the eliptical almost everyday and some weight/toning 3 times a week. If you need some motivation, I am over flowing with it at this time.

:cheer:
