New to the Community

  • Hi all! This is my first time posting here. A little about myself: My name is Emma and I weigh 265 pounds. I live in Texas and yesterday was tax free weekend. My shopping day started out okay, we mostly helped my friend shop for a new wardrobe. The afternoon, however, was all mine. The last time I had gone shopping, I got an 18/20 top and size 20 bottoms. This time it was much worse. I went to Lane Bryant to try the right fit jeans. I was measured and given a 5 in red, but that went awful as she was new and this was not my size at all. This only led to a meltdown in the dressing room as I stood in front of the mirror with jeans that made my curvy body even frumpier. I was remeasured and given a 6 in yellow which I now own. To spare the rest of the details, this event was quite tramatic as I found out a size 6 is a size 24 and a size 5 is a 22. I sat on my pity pot for a while and of course ate more ice cream. I still wear a size 18/20 top which can only make me feel even more unproportional. I have been wishy washy about diet and exercise, but now it is time for me to get serious. I am here to work now and hope we can all support each other through the pounds! Thank you for reading
