3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community

Hello Gals!
My name is Jennifer, I joined 3FC because I'm READY to lose weight. I'm 21 years old. All my life I've been a big girl. My family used to push me to lose weight and I would do it for a while, then stop. My doctor once told me that people can push and push, but it will never happen until I'm READY for it to happen...and ladies...that time has come. On my 16th birthday I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, and PCOS. I have a very slim chance of having children if I don't get my weight off. I moved here to WA in August of last year from Tennessee. My boyfriend and I started Weight Watchers CORE Plan, he was attending the meetings, I did a "not so much sticking to it as hard" home version. I began losing weight, then after a while I would maintain the same weight, though I did *miraculously* shake my Diabetes and have lowered my cholesterol. I am no longer diabetic! Each week I would lose 1 lb, then the next week gain 2. It was like I was taking 1 step back and 2 steps forward. The hardest part of the Core Plan was portion control. My boyfriend has lost about 135 lbs. About 2 weeks ago, I decided to switch to the points system. I have been very strict on myself and have been measuring out my meals, writing them down, and exercising 3 times a week. I feel that its now time for me to take control of my weight and get my body back into shape so that I am able to have children when I get married. I'll be weighing myself in for the first time tomorrow! Its nice to have someone...more than one....who goes through the same things that I do. I'm glad to have found 3FC, and be able to have friends that are going through it with me!
