Such a great forum

It was just a fluke I found this forum. It is really great!:carrot:

I'll be honest - I really don't want to diet but I think I probably need to lose weight. I've never met a chocolate bar that didn't have my name on it. My job entails sitting for hours a day working on a computer and when I get home I'm too tired to do anything but walk the dog and grab something from the freezer.:hungry: to eat in front of the tv. Maybe this site will get some inspiration going.

Let's see what I would like to accomplish. I would like to drop enough weight to get down from a womens' 3x to maybe a size 16. I actually like my body but would like to be less shaped like a beachball and more like an hour glass again when viewed from the side. Luckily for me I gain wait all over in a smooth pattern and have pretty good muscle structure to hold all this up. Actually, what I would like is to be able to go into any clothing store for full or average figure and be able to get something nice off the rack.

This is such a nice site I may live vicariously thru some of your stories for inspiration.:D

:welcome: You have found a GREAT site - and you will find that many of us didn't like the word "diet" either. Through 3FC I realized that I really needed to just make some changes that I could do for the rest of my life, rather than diet away those pounds.

Come back often and let us know how you are doing! I have found that being a part of the 3FC community has been an incredible source of information, inspiration and motivation for me on this journey!

:welcome: to 3FC's

Most of us don't like to use the word diet either lol, so how about a healthy life style change ;) Small gradual changes might be just what you need? Check out the boards, there are loads of plans, recipes and exercise threads to tempt yah.

Good luck !!

Don't worry - I am the Queen of Gradual. A turtle at full speed could pass me. I stopped dieting years ago. I probably haven't weighed myself in ten years. I'm still wearing the same clothes (reminder - time to shop for new clothes) so I probably haven't gained anything. Things may have shifted a touch but it's not dragging on the ground so I'm happy.

I may have to dust the scales and stand on them to see where I am. In the meantime I'm also going to check a number of the threads to see what people are doing. I'm looking for healthy and tasty but no fads. I've done the fads. I was on a diet that consisted of - this is not a lie - polish sausage and soft pillow mints. I lost weight all right. I smelled like a combination of delicatessen and candy store.

Hey Spinky! :wel3fc:

The Weight Watchers commercials they have out there are right - diets don't work. Fads don't work. BUT - lifestyle changes do, and are easier on our bodies and our mental health! So it sounds like you've got a really good start.

Glad you've found us! Keep posting!
