Cruising in 2 months!
Hello everybody! Just wanted to intoduce myself. I'm trying to drop some weight over the next couple months before I go on my first cruise. I lost about 70 pounds three years ago and for some reason I just got lazy with it and stopped. I've now put myself into a frenzy to get as much off as I can before I go on my first cruise in October. I'd like to take off about 30 pounds.(in a perfect world 50, but I know that's not gonna happen)
I have the 30 day shred dvd and I'm hoping it'll work it's magic. :carrot: I'm open to any helpful hints or advice! Gotta turn into the new me FAST!!! |
Hi Amy and :welcome:
30 lbs in two months is ALOT of weight to lose safely, thats about what? 3 1/2 - 4 lbs a week. A safe weight loss is 1 - 2 lbs a week, so, my advice would be to maybe settle for 20 lbs and take them off sensibly with a healthy diet and exercise. We have great boards here for both. Good luck and have a great time on your cruise. Leenie |

I'd like to offer the same advice as Leenie - it is virtually impossible to lose that much weight that quickly. 1 - 2 lbs a week is considered a safe, healthy rate, so you probably want to aim somewhere in there.
Look around, read here, and keep posting. 20 lbs can make a big difference in your body, even if it isn't as much as you'd like to get off. Can't wait to see you around! |
