Looking for a Cyber-buddy to help me get started
 

Hi my name is Erin, I am 44 years old, I am 5'4" and 275 pounds. My all time high was two weeks ago when I hit 286...I am embarking on yet another weight loss adventure. I have already gone down Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, Lindora (2x) and various other home diets...I am so frustrated at my current situation and I am looking for a place where I can talk to others who are going through what I am going through. I live in Santa Barbara and I swear I am THE ONLY fat person in town!!!:?:

Anyhow, I would love to find a weight loss buddy in cyberspace who can help me stay focused and accountable.

We have LOTS of places where you can find buddies!

First, check out the 100 lb club, a group of those losing or who have lost around 100 lbs or more. It's a great, supportive group, so take a look!

We also have a 40-somethings club, so you might want to pay a visit there, also!

If you're still in search of a plan, do look around...we have groups/clubs for all kinds of eating plans, so you're bound to find a good fit somewhere. Explore, settle, and keep posting! I can't wait to get to know you better!

Are you sure you just want one buddy? look out girl because this place is crawling with them :rofl: We have the best support this side of the mississippi. Any plan you choose, I'm sure we have a board for it so have fun surfing and mostly good luck.

Santa Barbara! What a pretty place...I am up here in WA while my husband is deployed but we are stationed down in CA about 45 minutes from there. I love that place!!! Anyways Welcome, and I am also in the same situation. I am sooooo frustrated with my weight...my weight loss hasn't been going that well ... but my husband left a week ago today so my goal is to get this off before he gets back! Glad u came here for help...it is a great site...and we can do this!!!

Many of us have traveled the same road over and over - but we're here now - the support you need is here - we'll be here to cheer you on..

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired. Try the 40 somethings, 100Lb Club and the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.
