New In Iowa
 

Hey all!

I just came across this website online and set up an account, so I am new here. I'm a 29-year-old lady from Iowa. I have done Weight Watchers in the past but have been off program for awhile, and it's time to start doing something again, whether it's WW or something else, so I thought I'd see what this place is all about. I work full-time with kids, and spend much of my free time hanging out in bars seeing some my favorite local bands play.

I'm looking forward to making some new friends here!

Have you been affected much by the flood?

Thanks all! I was relocated for about a week due to the flood, but the water luckily didn't make it into my home. The end of the drive, the apartment buildings across the street... The water ended there. I feel for the people across the street, yet I was relieved to find my home dry. They didn't get hit too hard, just a little water- which is still too much but so many lost everything. Alot of my family members were affected way more than I was by the flood, and some friends, too.

My son is starting at Iowa in a few weeks and some of his buildings are still not ready for fall. Glad your place was OK!
