New, new, new.
Hello all,
My name is alissa and I am new to this fun little community. Last year I went off to college and lost quite a bit of weight. I started at 226 and am now 196; however, I still feel quite huge. I am 6' tall and wear a 12. I would ideally like to be 160 because I've pretty much never been 160. Not since like 5th grade. I've always been a big girl and would for once like to be a healthy weight. I have decided to really kick my diet into overdrive since a huge binge that occured earlier this evening. Anywho, I've decided Monday will be weigh day and I won't weigh until not this Monday but next Monday. I eat everything at the sorority house so I've decided to come up with a plan involving increasing fruit and veggies and cutting snacking to zilch. I row on the crew team so I get plenty exercise but I'd like to add a morning run. I think losing weight will really up my confidence and help me feel good about myself. That way I can stop making excuses for other problems. Its always been my weight with me. Whenever something goes wrong, I always blame it on my weight. So I figure if I lose the weight I can branch out and work on other details. So....sorry for this long crazy post-I'm talking on the phone at the same time....but yeah that's my life now. |
Hey Alissa! :wel3fc:
Wow, you've made such great progress so far...congrats! You might want to visit the 20-somethings, a great group for those in their 20's. I had friends who did crew...plenty of exercise indeed! Can't wait to see you around and hear more from you soon! |
 and :welcome:
Glad you found us chickies. Good luck on your journey  Leenie |
You've already done well and it sounds like you've got a great plan in place for proceeding! Hang in there!
