Brand NEW to 3FC
 

Well, I have never done anything like this, but I need help! My weight is at an all-time high. I don't feel well, and I am ready for a change. The past few weeks I have been reading different posts on 3FC, and I have been impressed with the words of wisdom and encouragment that are shared. However, I felt scared to jump in and join in. It was more comfortable being an outsider looking in. This may be part of my problem, but I'm doing it - and it's not so bad!

Today, I figured out my BMI and saw I was 35.5. That is above obese, obese II actually. My heart sunk as I looked over at my husband and my three wonderful children (ages, 10, 4, and 1). I need to be the best mother I can be to them, and right now, I feel I am lacking. I have taken my kids to the pool only a couple of times because the thought of being seen in swimsuit is mortifying. I can't fit into amusement park rides, and I am just too lazy/tired to play with them.

Anyway, for now, I will try getting motivation and encouragement here. In the meantime, I am going to start trying to eat less, drink water, and do some kind of exercise everyday (walking - I'm sure). Thank you for listening to me ramble on. I look forward to this journey.

You've got great motivation, and a great start! Now you've just got to follow through with a plan, and some action...and you've got a start on that too!
