Howdy all! Help is DEFINITELY needed!

Hi all! This is my first time on a weightloss forum...not sure how to begin. Always been fat, my whole family's fat, and I'm trying to break the streak, but I've got a LONG way to go. Any support is welcome!

I've been researching surgery, but since my insurance won't cover it, I'm not sure if it is a good investment to purchase on my own...I've been reading articles that say they aren't sure about long-term sustainability of WL surgery, but another article I read said that long term WL isn't sustainable anyway, and leads to Yo-yoing...Don't know which way to turn! I need support and help and a place to start...please...:?:

:wel3fc: . . . so glad you found us . . . whichever route you decide to follow on the long and sometimes rather bumpy road to better health and fitness we will be here for you, Chickie . . .

Have you found our Weight Loss Surgery forum yet . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=78 . . . lots of valuable information over there. Also take a look in the Diet Central area . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=102 . . . most of the popular and healthy eating programs have their own area over there and lots of people to answer questions you may want to ask.

If you don't know where to start then just start somewhere and work it from there. so often people feel like they need to know exactly what they are doing to begin that they get stuck. When I started I did calorie counting, which worked really well for me. I started at 2000 calories a day and tracked using an online site like fitday.com. I also decided to take baby steps with exercise and do something, even if it was just 10 minutes of walking in front of the tv per day no matter what to stop the excuses of starting tomorrow.

I recently fell off my wagon and have gotten back on again. This time I joined Weight Watchers mostly because I feel like I need the accountability right now.

Please feel free to join us over on the 300+ area (I see you already posted in the bios section).

Hi and welcome! I'm new too!

I come from a chubby family as well and we all have the same belly. Seriously, if you put bags on our heads and showed just the bellies you wouldn't be able to tell us apart. Ok, maybe my brother is a bit hairier. ;)
