New and Starting out.

Hi everyone!
I'm not really good at intro's..but I've finally come to the decision that I need to lose weight for my health and my own happiness. I've just started with a small goal of 45 lbs. but my long term goal is 70 lbs. I've already started to change my eating habits and have a workout buddy, but I need some support from others who understand and are going through the same thing. I know I came to the right place!
Good luck to everyone in reaching their goals!

I am also new-again

Hello everyone! I guess it has been around 4 yrs since I was on this site. I still have not lost the weight I need to. I know I need to get this weight off to improve my health. I do belong to Weight Watchers too, but i have had a difficult time getting on track. I hope to do it this time.

I am from the Davenport, Iowa area. I am married (22 years), work ft as an RN, and have 2 boys- 20& 17.:)

Last week I did return to Curves, so I know that is a start.:carrot:

Hope to meet some new friends and give and receive support. Have a great weekend.:)

hi, new folk, and welcome. Lana, I go to Curves too and really like it. (I like to go at times it's not busy, since it tends to be kind of "chatty.") One older woman there (65??) goes around the circuit SIX times instead of the standard two, and I see here there all the time --- she doesn't move too fast, but she is one inspiring and fit little old lady!

hi there!

Welcome!! I am a new member too and am so excited by the energy and generosity I see on this group. I, like you, am very motivated by improving my health. There is nothing like sneaking a peek at a medical record during a regular check up and seeing one's name and the word "overweight" next to it as a reality check.

It sounds like you have made many positive changes in your life. Rock on!

Once again, :welcome2: to everyone else who's new to the site!
But to add I've been to curves before it is a nice place to workout..not as scary (for me at least) as the gym I'm at now. But, it's free and get to oogle the guys so its not so bad. ;)
But good luck to everyone!
