Default Hi! I'm new and looking for motivation.

Hi! I’m new and I would really like to lose some weight. I was doing okay weight wise because I have lived alone since my divorce but one of my grandsons came to live with me and I have put on some weight over the past three years. I kinda let it slide, now I feel like a mess. I wondered if I might join you for a while and try to get motivated?

I’m going off to check out the board and I hope it’s okay if I welcome other new people. It’s just something I do to help me feel ‘at home’.

Etta. Please do check us out and pop in with a post wherever you like.

Have you decided on a particular plan to follow? Diet Central lists quite a few.

You've taken a good first step in getting motivated by joining this terrific support website.

Ruthxxx,

Thank you for that warm welcome.

Still checking things out.

I'll get there eventually.

I have been working at cutting down on everything since the beginning of the year. But I'm older, don't get out much and I know I really need to do more if I want to lose this weight.

Thanks again for the welcome.

Etta, I'm probably older than you - 69.5 - and am in the same boat. We have to MOVE! Cutting down helps but be sure you are still making the best food choices possible.

Well . . . although I am ever so much younger than my buddy Ruth (I'm only 65.5 ), I have to agree with her . . . we really need to find ways to get a little more movement into our lives to go along with healthy eating. Anyway, ETTA, -- glad to have you joining us, Chickie.

Well! I certainly feel more relieved to know I’m not the only one over fifty. I’m 58. My grandson has been with me three years and has just turned 15.

Thank you again for the lovely warm welcome.

Thank you, chickenmonkey.

Have been cutting down over the last few months but not really taking it seriously enough, too many 'treats'. Plan to chart things here -

Blog Thread - My Plan Of Action

Thanks again for the warm welcome and the encouragement. I'll get settled in and then do some encouraging and supporting too. Thanks again.
