Jumping on the bandwagon...newbie here.
 

Hello chicks...my name is Crystal. I am brand spankin' new and have been lurking around the site for a couple of days now. I have decided to try SB out and see how it goes. I am 27 yrs old from California, a wife and mom of an 8 year old boy. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. It isn't that I don't know what to do, it's that I need to stick with it. I simply love food. :^: I recently got married and gained 35 pounds! Dating my husband made me fat-lol. So I am looking to lose not only those 35 pounds but an extra 30 on top of that, because I was already overweight to begin with. Looking forward to chatting with you all. Everyone on here seems so supportive and helpful! I'm excited. I must say the website is a little confusing to navigate through, but I'm getting the hang of it.

Oh! I do have a question though. Is it really necessary to purchase the Super Charged book or is the original book okay? If there aren't too many differences, I'd rather check it out from my local library for free as we are on a budget. Thanks!

We do have a section of South Beach posts so pop over and join us here where your questions will be answered. As to the new book, I would just stick with the old one. In the South Beach FAQ is a revised list of the foods. There is an exercise programme in the Supercharged book but you could get it from the library.

I agree, dating does make one fat LOL, when I met my DH he took me out to eat so much and well.... you can guess what happened.

Crystal...where I'm from, when your husband makes you fat its called Comfort weight! I have absolutely the same issue with my future DH!
