Hello from far off Australia

Hi everyone,

I'm so glad I found this site! I've been browsing through the recent posts & everyone seems so helpful & supportive of each other's efforts- exactly what I need right now.

I've been steadily gathering weight ever since having my 3 children; the youngest of which is now 14, so the 'but you have kids' excuse for being overweight is wearing a tad thin!

I've managed to lose some weight by myself, but the will to keep going is weak, so I figure having an online presence here could help keep me in line a bit more than just moseying along in isolation.

A bit about me for anyone who's interested, I'm happily married, queer, have three teenage children, live in country Victoria, Australia where we're (slowly)renovating our old house & two roomed school building, love books, music & films, hate most TV shows, make art & corsets, collect (& wear) 1950's cateye glasses & unusual clothes...& need to lose about another 24kgs (that's 53lbs)

Welcome! We're glad you're here.

Make yourself at home and read lots. Post so that we can get to know you better. And remember that if you need anything, just ask!

Welcome from not-so-far-off Thailand! I'm sure you'll find this place very helpful - I know it's been a great resource for information, tools and support for me so far!

Hi this is a great site to keep u motivated and on track. I used this site before and I did much better with the sites support that going it alone. I have 3 teen age kids, a mother I am taking care of now and on top of that my job just went to 12 hour shifts, in the mist of all this madness I have gained back the 35lbs plus a few more, so I back posting, supporting and keeping motivated.

I know you can do it, its not always going to be easy, but with the support of everyone it will be a little less stressful.

Hi from not so far off New Zealand. And welcome to the site. I am one of those lurkers that come and go every time I get side tracked from my program. I have about 20kgs to lose.(Trying) To Do weight watchers by myself. Started at 93kg went down to 79 and now about 83, A rough guess because I have not been near a scale for some time. What sort of program are you doing? I would love to team up with some one a little closer to home.
