new here, young and having problems.

  • hi im krysta. i am 29 and live in illinois. i weigh 194 and my goal is 140. i never had problems with my weight until i had my girls. even so, after they were born i was able to shed the weight okay and get back down to 130-145. but here in the past year i have gained more here and there. especially over this past fall and winter. this is the most i have ever ever ever weighed.

i watch my calories. i don't eat after 7 pm. my meals never go over 400 calories. and i drink water.... i should be drinking more but im working on it.

i have 00000 motivation. and everytime i look in the mirror, im like YUCK!

    sooo, any ideas anyone?
    thanks
  • Welcome to the forum, Krysta!

You're not alone. There are so many reasons for weight gain, and having kids is right up there in my book.

Are you writing down your calories? Sometimes we think we're eating reasonably, but when you actually do the count, it can be hundreds more than we think. If you are counting, how many are you eating? Eating too few can be a pitfall, too.
Are you getting in any exercise?

Don't despair. We're here to help.
  • If you really haven't changed your eating habits and you've gained that much weight, get thee to a doctor at once! It's entirely possible that you have a thyroid problem or other endocrine problem that's causing you to gain - most of which are simply and easily treated once you know the issue! Best of luck
