I NEED to change!!

I'm one of those people who yoyo diet, lose an incredible amount of weight and then let it slowly creep on again. After putting on a stone and a half in the past year it's time to make a drastic change! No more bingeing and eating through boredom!

I'm looking forward to talking to you all - hopefully we can spur each other on! It's brilliant to see people succeeding on here!! :D

Best advice I can give is do a kitchen makeover. Cut down on salt & all sweeteners (even the pink stuff is bad b/c your tongue becomes sensitized to a sweeter taste, cold turkey sodas for a week then try one if you want to prove my point!). Not much in the way of carbohydrates in my house that aren't for the 4 & 5 year old, I stay pretty much on water (if you drink VERY cold water, your body actually burns calories digesting it b/c it has to warm it to process so this is a totally easy way to lose a little bit plus more water in equals more water-retention-out). I eat a lot of salads, made myself with baked protein (chicken usually) & a hard boiled egg, minimal dressing, it takes a while to stop pouring the whole bottle on but eventually, you're just dipping for the most basic taste. I LOVE pretzels but avoid them b/c between the carbs & the salt, not a good idea so I have found that sugar snap peas kept very cold (chill in ice) & then use a little bit of veggie dill dip & I get the sense of a crunch that I miss when not having pretzels. I also use Unjury protein powder & keep Pure Protein bars (average 19-20 gm of protein, 2 gm of carbohydrate, 190 calories) in my purse for the "just incase"

Good luck, it's hard making the changes but eventually the changes become your daily diet & you consider them to be normal.
