Unhappy Talking that big step...I hope!

Hi all! I've been in a long time battle with my weight, as almost all women!! Growing up I always thought I was fat, looking back I was far from being what I thought I was. I went to college and gained the freshman fifteen, and then some. I joined weight watchers and started walking with my boyfriend and lost 15 pounds!! Then I graduated and lost my ambition and gained it back. I joined WW again and joined Curves and lost again.

Well, after a few heartbreaks and bad decisions in life I gained a bit more weight because food made me feel better, until I saw how big I was. Then I got even more depressed so I ate more, saw how big I was and ate more! What a vicious cycle this is!!

I'm at a point where I get a glimpse of and I start to cry because of how I look. I try and try to diet, or eat healthy but I LOVE TO EAT! I did really well on the Fat Smash Diet for one week but I just love food too much. And my boyfriend, although very supportive of me loves to eat as well so it's hard for me to eat a salad while he's eating pizza.

I guess I'm looking for that support system I had at weight watchers without having to pay money I certainly don't have right now. It's helpful to go through hard times with people who know exactly how you feel.

I weighed myself yesterday and the scale said 205, not my highest but darn close!! I'm hoping this site will be what I need. Thanks for reading!!

You have some options besides WW. First of all, if you had your old materials you can use them on your own while typing here. There's even a WW section! You can also purchase other people's materials from ebay if you no longer have yours. There's an active Flex Area, and we'd more than welcome you

Another low cost option is an organization called TOPS (taking off the pounds sensibly). They meet in person like a WW meeting, but people are encouraged to follow any food plan that works for them. (Even the WW plan... but without having to pay much.) There is a cost to go.. but it's usually minimal.

You'll definintely find support around here. So post wherever you're comfortable.

Best of success!

Hi there. . . . . . So glad you found us . . . take a look in your library for a book called Volumetrics. Sounds kind of gimmicky, but it is very scientifically supported and gives lots of hints for staying really full on fewer calories. It definitely helps me because I love to eat, too, and have to have a way to satisfy my chewing instincts.

Good Luck to you . . .
