Hello-I'm another Newbie

  • Hi all. My name is Tracy, I'm 37, married, and a stay at home mom to 2 boys.
I had back surgery and some other medical issues in the past few years, and have put on about 50 lbs.. I would like to lose around 70lbs. altogether.
Would love to hear any suggestions, and can use all of the support that I can get!
My hubby drives truck(gone all week long), so I tend to much out of boredom, and I have a huge weakness for sweets and fastfood.
I'm looking forward to talking with you all, and hopefully winning this battle.
  • Hi I am new too!
Just joined today! My sweet tooth is also my worst enemy. I have been trying to persuade myself to try to lose weight for quite a long time and finally succeed. I have only lost some pounds so far, but I even now I feel much better

Looking forward to meeting you all on the forum!
  • Hi Tracy!

You might enjoy the 30-something's area.

One of my big things is eating out of boredom, too. Honestly, the best thing to do is get a hobby. Explore some new fascination. Take time to have fun with something you've always wanted to do, but never made time for.

You can do this! Best of success!!!
  • Yep . . . I'm a "hobby eater" too . . . definitely find something to keep your hands busy, Chickie -- and to this great and fun place called 3FC . . . we are very glad to have you with us.
  • Thank you all for the welcomes! Sorry that it has taken so long for me to reply and to say thanks. I have been sooo busy, and stressed. I pretty much blew my good start in the past few days, so its try- try again.
Wow, Faerie, you've lost 90lbs?! Congratulations. How about sending some will power my way? I will check out the 30-somethings area.
Meowee, congrats on your start, what are you doing to try to prevent the "hobby" eating? Any tips for me?
Melindad, good luck to you too, that sweet tooth is a real hard one to kick, isn't it?
