Another newbie...

  • Hi everyone,
I've been struggling with my weight forever it seems. I'm 30 years old, live in Oakland, CA and finally started to really make an effort. I've always struggled with 20-25lbs of extra weight. I know I'm probably in a better position that most people, but I know it would be good for me.

I've never been super thin, but I long for the days that I could fit into a size 6, then I'd be happy

I feel like I always think about losing weight, but never really act on it. I just started a new blog about my day to day meals, and I've started running a few days a week. I'm hoping to find some motivation or at least people to answer to--other than myself--to keep me inspired and going. I fall into that category of starting for a bit, doing well, eating well, then a weekend goes by where it all goes down hill, and I don't pick up things til weeks later. I'm just not sure what's holding me back, but this site seems supportive and entertaining.
  • Welcome! This forum is a great place to turn for accountability and support, I think you'll fit right in. Are you following a specific food/exercise program? I did C25k for a while and the chicks here were really helpful in keeping that up. Good luck and welcome!
  • Welcome to the forum!
Congratulations on the running. We have a great exercise forum here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=34
    Sometimes a little accountability helps.

I had left my ipod at the office gym last night and didnt realize it til this morning. someone actually posted a lost and found about it, and i got it back! it was a gift and had the Nike+ attached to it, so i can follow my progress and track time etc...i was on the verge of tears if i had lost it! I brought my sneakers again tonight, so here's to another few miles.
