Hi, I am a new user. I currently have lost 23 pounds and have 5 more to go, but I was browsing through the forum, and I love seeing people's suggestions. This is a great site and I'm glad I joined!! :)

hi Katie! Go Vols! What kinds of food/exercise decisions did you make to get you this far down the healthy road? (It's always great to hear suggestions : ) I've found this site really encouraging, and it's fun to chat w/others around the world. Welcome, and talk to you soon!

thank you all!!!

Anita-

Are you a Vols fan?? :)

I keep very busy with school and working as a graduate assistant, so that keeps me from overeating...I bring snacks to work/class each day, and I plan those and my meals a day ahead of time usually. I plan to eat something every day that I love and can look forward to! I am on Weight Watchers, and eat a lot of low point snacks---I love fruits, especially grapes, yogurt, LF string cheese, 100 calorie bags of popcorn. I add vegetables to almost every meal I eat (especially spinach!!) I eat a lot of chicken and turkey too (don't eat red meat at all). I drink a TON of water or Crystal Lite. My treat of the day is usually a smoothie...I've made all kinds of interesting creations!!

As for exercise, I'm slacking a little in that area. I just got a pedometer, which has helped me keep track. Other than that, I try to walk 3-4 days a week on the treadmill (will be going outside more now that it's warm!) I also do 100 crunches every morning/night on my stability ball, and use weights for my arms and sides.

Hope this helps! Good luck :)
