I'm New Too

  • I am new too and have tried to get on board with a couple of ongoing threads...but no replies so far. I'm confused--maybe this is totally explained someplace--but is everyone just kind of following their own eating/diet plan?? I mean, this seems kind of similar to the My Food Diary site, but no fee, and you don't get a running total of calories, fat, carbs, etc. I'm really looking for a place to start.
  • Hi there FOODIE . . . . . . I noticed that all of your posts have been kind of buried in other threads so I took the liberty of moving this one into an Introduction thread all it's own . . . hopefully you'll get more answers this way.

This is a very big site and is meant for ongoing weightloss support no matter what plan you are following . . . and that's it's best feature (at least in my opinion). Take a good look around . . . there are forums for Chickies of different ages, different interests, and different plans. Over in Diet Central, you'll find that most of the well-known plans have their own areas, too.

I'm sure you can find a few spots that will suit you perfectly and I know you will always receive a really warm welcome wherever you decide to visit.

    Have a good day . . .
  • Welcome ! You will like it around here. Lots of different areas to explore on what interest you. Good luck to you !

  • Welcome bigtimefoodie! This is a great place
  • welcome!!
  • Hi Foodie!! Hang in there a little while, you'll eventually find your place here! It took me some time but now I'm a posting fool! I love it here!

I'm following Weight Watchers but there are many people here following other plans. Keep looking around to see what is right for you. We are here for support and encouragement

  • I think most people are doing their own thing... but sometimes their own thing simply means following a plan that's already been started by someone else. (I'm using WW, for example, but it doesn't stop me from being an active member at 3FC.) Lots of calorie counters here use things like Fitday or My Daily Plate to track their calories, but come here for support and advice.

I hope you find what you're looking for!

    Best of success!
