This Fat Chick...

...wants to become PHAT (pretty, hot, and trim)

So my history
~I was married at age 19 at 150 lbs (About where I was most of high school)
~Had baby #1 at age 21 and reached 183 lbs and am not a fortunate one to lose weight while I breastfeed
~Saw a picture of myself and get really motivated-joined an online support group like this (but it is no longer around that I can find) lost weight at a very reasonable rate and got down to 133 :carrot: I counted calories and exercised.
~Got pregnant with baby #2 I was in GREAT shape and ran throughout my pregnancy to keep fit but dispite that I gained weight and ended up at 183 lbs and again did not lose weight while breastfeeding
~Got a little motivated and got down to 150 lbs
~Got pregnant with baby #3 and gained slowly and not as much as the last pregnancy and ended at 183 lbs

Which brings us to today. I am at 170 lbs as of this morning and really needing a support group to get my weight down.

I am a 27 (in July) year old mom of three, wife to one.

I have high cholesterol and have a heart condition (bradycardia-with occasional black-outs, palpations, and sudden surges) I know my limits and where a heart rate monitor.

I come here begging/pleading for support and encouragement. I would like to get down to 140 lbs before getting pregnant with baby #4 (probably our last) next year.

So am I in the right place?

:welcome3:

Of course you're in the right place! :D I'm new here as well and the people here are great. I'm going through the photo album of goals reached and it is incredibly inspirational. Everyone is nice here. :)

Hi there, smurf, and welcome! You sure are in the right place! If you are still going to count calories and exercise, I suggest subscribing to the Calorie Counter's Forum, and the 20 somethings forum, and perhaps Dieting with Obstacles for your heart condition. Good luck with your weight loss - we are here for you!

Without a doubt you are in the right place! I am relatively new here too but 3FC has become part of my daily internet routine. Everyone here is friendly, there is a ton of support and even if you don't feel like posting just reading and feeling part of the community is great.

Make sure to take a look around at all the different areas and then get to posting wherever you're comfortable!

Thank you all for the nice welcome!

I am not sure if calorie counting is for me. I became SOSO obsessed with it last time that it started to take over, KWIM? So for now I plan to watch my portion sizes, limit the crap and eat lots more veggies-and EXERCISE. But if all else fails I know counting works and may fall back on it.

YES! And welcome to the board! Good luck in your journey. This place has really helped me out bigtime even though I've only lost 11 lbs so far. It brings great encouragement!
