Howdy all. Introduction!

Hello all!

I've browsed this site a fair bit and read the posts but I've only just joined today. I'm from Ireland, noticed a lot of the members are from the US! Anyways, down to the weight stuff..I weigh 144 pounds, which is 10 stone and 4 lbs. I've a great upper half of my body, the only problem is from the waist downwards. I put all my weight on here and none on my arms and stomach so it looks ridiculous!! I'm a UK size twelve (US 8) on my bottom half and a UK size 8 (US 4) on my top half :( It's so irritating as I look so out of proportion!! But anyway life could be worse, I love sports and need motivated again.

So anyway, I know I will find motivation here and tonight I plan on hopefully going out to work out! :) To I guess this is my introduction done (badly haha), oh yeah, it's also really encouraging and overwhelming seeing peoples before and after pictures, I look at some of the pictures and actually think "WOW is that actually the same person?!". Incredible!

Welcome and good luck! Have you checked out the UK Fat Chicks Forum ?

:welcome: . . . so glad to have you joining us . . .

It is a primarily US site, but there are a few of us around from various other parts of the Commonwealth . . .. . . and I notice that Bargoo already gave you a heads' up about the UK Forum.

Where did you find that clothing-size translation information? Here in Canada, our sizing is a lot closer to yours than to the US, but I've never actually managed to come across a really good comparison chart of any kind.

Also . . . don't forget that "pear shape" (you) is much healthier than being "apple shape" (me).
