Hey Everyone! I'm new :)

Hi!
I just found out about this website yesterday and it's amazing! I have been working on healty living for the past 2 months and I'm feeling good and energetic and happy :) Of course, there are good days and bad days, haha and I think this place will great for me to get and give support :)

Im 26, Canadian and engaged to an American Soldier. I'm currently in Kansas and hoping to find some great people to talk to and maybe even work out/cook with if we are in the same area!

I'm 6'0, female and currently weigh 280 pds. In the past 2 months I have lost 32 pounds and feelig great. I'm here to start creating goals to motivate me and add more information to my health knowledge.

I'm a big supported of the G. I. Diet and organic living and would love to talk to others about it!!

I'm unemplyed right now as I am waiting on visa and immigration work for the US but my last job was teaching English in a kindergarten in Korea. It was an amazing experience to be there!

Anyway, that's me in a nutshell.. would love to hear from you soon!! I can't wait to boost my healthy living on here!!

Welcome fauxtini! If you browse around the differrent pages, you'll find others interested in different eating plans -- you might want to check out the Veggie section. I don't know anything about the G I diet -- what is it like?

What part of Canada are you from? It must be a bit of a shock being in Kansas! Best wishes and, again, welcome!

:wel3fc: from another Canadian . . . although I'm still up here suffering in what seems to be a very, very long winter.

I also believe in the GI/GL findings and follow them fairly closely (I'm type II Diabetic and using GI/GL values if very helpful in controlling the impact of carbs on blood sugar, of course.)

Unfortunately, I'm also a lot older than you are -- I have a son and daughter-in-law in the Canadian Armed Forces, BTW, and stationed in Alberta.

Anyway, Chickie . . . you are off to a great start . . . keep doing the good stuff. See you later . . .

The GI diet has a lot to do with managing sugar and those bad, nasty carbs. There's a website ( gidiet.com ) If you wanna get rouch outline. I sort of just fell acrossed some books at my local natural fods store and fell in love. It's the only diet i've duffed into that I can do everyday and not feel starved or like i'm taking away from myself.

Lots of greens, protien and good fats and carbs too. A nice round eating plan that I can do.

I'm really into vitamins and supplements and beleive hormones have sooo much to do with cravings and weightloss. I'm really interesting in talking about vitamins and supplemnts too!

I'm from nova scotia canada. I love that place buthavn't really lived there for a while. I always manage to make lots of trips home to see family and my cottage by the beach tho!!

I'm heading to kansas on Friday and I have no clue what to expect!!
