Hello!

My name is Dawn. I'm 33 years old. I live in CT.

I have been overweight my whole life. My highest weight being 280 pounds. Last year I went down to 229.5 pounds and felt WONDERFUL. Now as you can guess it I'm gaining up a storm. Last I knew I was close to 250 again.

I have that incredible feeling of guilt, depression and just plain failure.

I decided to come here and join so I can make some new friends and start being accountable for my eating.

I'm an ex binge eater. Well I should saying trying to stay ex binge eater. I'm in therapy to help myself with my binge eating and emotional eating.

I just need a place with other people that share my same desires to be healthy.
I'm at the time of my life where it's not about how hot I can look, it's about how healthy I can be.

I also have been told by Drs that I'm insulin resistant. This was before I lost weight... I have been to afraid to be checked since then.

I look forward to meeting new friends!!!

You are on the right track for dealing with that Insulin Resistance . . . just about the best thing you can do for youself is to get rid of the excess weight.

to you too, CHRISTY10 . . . so glad to have you joining us and I know you'll just love it around here . . . the support is so great . . . just get busy and wander around the site and start posting when something piques your interest and you'll be able to get a weight ticker before you know it.

Because of a few spamming types that show up on large sites like this just to cause problems, we limit tickers to those that have been members for at least 30 days and have at least 30 posts. After you pass that apprenticeship, you will be able to set up a ticker in your signature through the "User CP" button at the top of every forum page (just under the picture of the 3 little chicks).
