Hi there... I'm a type 1 diabetic, too!

So, of course, I know all about the struggles of diabetes and weight loss. For me, it was really hard to get started on losing weight, and what really bugs me is low blood sugar, because in those circumstances, you often don't have a choice but to force sugary crap down your throat, and then you just feel it's not "fair" and that those calories shouldn't really "count" because they were a medical necessity! It's been difficult to get my blood sugars exactly right while working out (mostly to prevent post-workout lows... slamming a can of Coke after a hardcore workout just feels so
wrong - and if your sugar is high, working out can make it even higher - bah!)
Anyway, if you need support or advice or anything, feel free to PM me any time - and if it's any consolation, despite the annoyances diabetes can pose, I still lost 50 pounds and have successfully maintained for around 3 months now, hopefully never to go back.
