Newbie on Quick Weight Loss Program
 
Wanted to write a friendly hello to all! :)

I am new to the site and to the QWLC program, actually just started my second week yesterday. I am 36 and have along way to go. I want to lose about 90 more lbs.

I lost 7 lbs since starting. I am not a fan of drinking 10 glasses of water a day but doing my best.

Anyone else on the program? If so, how is it going? Everything I read on the testimonials was all very positive.

Welcome! It sounds like you are doing great already- you've lost 7 pounds! Can you tell us about quick weight loss? What is the program? Do you need to buy their food?

If you take a look at what pops up on the internet when you search for Quick Weight Loss Centers . . . it sounds quite a bit like LAWL, including the three phases called "Weight Loss", Stabilization", and "Maintenance" . . . wonder if they are in any way connected.?

Yes, it is weight loss, stabilization and maintenance.

Quick Weight Loss is basically eating real grocery store foods but only choosing from the choices they provide with the amounts. Example: 1 protein is 8 oz of chicken breast. You do have to incorporate 2 supplements a day (shake, pudding, soup or bar that you buy from them) into your meal plan.

My typical day is:

2 proteins, 4 vegs, 3 fruits, 2 starches, 1 fat (1 tsp of marg or low fat mayonaise) and you can have 8oz of skim milk if you choose. They say you have to drink 10 oz glasses of water a day. Thats my BIGGEST problem, I hate water.

They do have some restrictions that I am just getting use to. Like: High fat beef only 2 times a week and not 2 days in a row or on the same day as some fish, 1/2 small sweet or baked potato or brown rice only 3 times a week.

I joined their "home program". You don't need to go into the center, they counsel you and answer questions by phone. It is cheaper then the regular program. I figured I would give it a try for the 6 weeks. See how I do before I do a long term committment.
