Glad to be here!
I just found this site while looking for some recipes. I am following weight watchers and have a great support group of friends at work. I have A LOT of weight to lose, but I know can I do it...I just have to stick to my plan. (Always my downfall...giving up). I walk 4 miles per day 3x/week and then 5 miles per day on the weekends. My goal is to walk 22 miles per week regardless and with the weather getting a bit warmer (living UT), its getting easier. Looking forward to getting to know some of you and hear your motivating stories. :D

Hi, I'm new here too, couple of weeks or so... there is a lot of support and inspiration here. I come on to the site at least once a day and see what I can learn or give support to someone else... Good luck...

You might like to check out the Exercise forum. If I'm not mixing forums up in my overloaded brain, I believe there is a monthly walk/run challenge thread, so you'd look for "March Walk/Run Challenge" thread, and I think you would be able to connect with others that are setting a similar mileage goal. The challenge threads, which can be found all over the boards, are a great way to make closer connections to other 3FC users and really get that support network going. Of course, we're all here for each other, but it makes a difference when you feel like you know a person a little better. :hug: You might also find some kindred spirits on the Weight Watchers forum, in Diet Central. Of course, you can browse the forums, and should jump in any place that feels right to you! Best of luck to you, Annie, with your goals for weight loss and exercise! |
