If only I could sleep!

Hi All,
I am a Newbie and so so frustrated. I gained my weight after my husband (and light of my life) died, I am now a single mom with five kids, four of them teenagers! I work full time, raise kids full time, and it feels like the only thing I have is food. I know you all relate. I am usually very diligent all day, but when the sun goes down I turn into a Food Vampire. In the middle of the night I often wake up, my house is quiet and I eat...and eat...and eat...
Sigh... any other insomniac bingers out there?

yep me, since i found this place i like to get on at night, it helps some to read inspirational stories from all the folks on here. but night time is definately hard. one thing i did was remove all the bad food from the house, so at least now i'm chomping on fruit instead of doritos and jolley ranchers. i'm sorry to hear about your husband, it must be very trying, i admire your courage.....hang in there, better days are ahead. :hugs:

Hi AmyRose

:wel3fc:

I'm sorry for your loss. A good friend's father passed away recently, and I see some of what her mother is going through. It must be very difficult.

Have a look around, check out the Chicks in Control area. Please, post wherever you're comfortable!

Best of success!!

Amyrose, I'm so very sorry about your husband. :( I can understand how night time must be very difficult for you.
What about making gradual changes? Knowing you're going to get up in the night, why not get something ready for your night time snack ahead of time? Something healthier than you'd normally choose when you're desperate. It would be a start towards eradicating a habit that's difficult to break in the best of circumstances.
Big hugs, dear girl...

hi

 I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. You're still morning the loss of your husband.

I find that if I exercise during the day I sleep better at night. It doesn't take a lot, a 1/2 hour walk, what ever you do for exercise. If it continues I would see a Dr. and get something to help you sleep. I'm not a big pill pusher, but they are there for a reason and right now you need to sleep. Good luck to you, and make your health a priority.
