Hi!

Hi I just found your site while searching for recipes. It looks very motivating and supportive. I started my weight loss at the highest I've ever been. (332lbs) Now 9 months later after losing 62lbs, I have hit a plateau. It's very hard staying motivated when there is no loss. I have some limitations with health issues and extreme exercise is not a reality. I'm hoping for some input as to how to get myself going again.

Congratulations on your weight loss to date! :bravo:

I have only lost 20 lbs since summer and also am not losing (even gaining 1/2 and 1 lb in the last two weeks while exercising EVERYDAY :tantrum:). One thing that helps me "get through" is counting my steps everyday which helps me to see that even though the scale is not "showing it" I have proof that I am improving my life and health with daily activity.

Good luck & keep up the good work! :cheer2:

:welcome3: i know it bums me out too when i get a stall in progress, but i try to look at the bigger picture. i think most of us have all been there, i've been trying to get out of the 250's for what seems like 4ever. i know if i just keep doing what i'm doing it will pay off. and it will for you to!

congrats on the weight loss! your doing great!

Hi Carol,
I'm new here too. There is a lot of great support here. There are so many of us who are aiming for the same goal.. My weight has been up 40, down 40for years and years... (Need to lose 80)... so I know how those plateaus go. Don't give up... look around this site, i bet you will find a lot of inspiration.

Welcome, Carol! :welcome3:

Right now I'm snow-bound and a little depressed, and I've realized that in my present state, the best thing I can do is focus on maintaining. That's a big step for me, because usually at this time of year I'm thinking, "The heck with it! I'll eat whatever I want!" ;)
I do know that I can no longer wait for the motivation to strike me. I have to dig deep for it, regardless of how difficult or (sometimes) how futile it all may seem.
As the other ladies said, don't give up... just keep doing what you're doing.
Can you add a little something extra? Make a few minor changes to your lifestyle? A 15 minute walk, a new vegetable or healthy snack...
This isn't about perfection... little things can contribute to great successes.
