New to the site

Hi. I am new to the site and to oline support for anything. I thought this would be a good idea to help me in my journey. I want to loose 200 lbs total. I want to loose as much as I can over the next 6 months. My son went to New Zealand for 6 months for Missions work and I would love some suprise him when he gets back. He has been gone 5 days and I am doing ok so far. I would love some ideas to curb late night craving and sweets alternatives.

Hey 2Young, and :wel3fc:

You've made a great start! What sort of plan are you following? We have chat areas here for many, many different plans, from Atkins to South Beach to Calorie Counting to Weight Watchers, so look around!

You might want to visit our 300 plus or 100 lb clubs - both are great, supportive groups of people who started out with more weight to lose. Tons of great advice to be found there, as well as support from people who have been where you're sitting.

Otherwise, settle in and get to posting. I can't wait to get to know you better!

Hi and welcome!

Your username strikes a chord with me ... believe you me, I am much younger than I was 4 years ago!

Remember, if there's anything we can do for you, just ask!

Try drinking decaf green teas at night and lots of water. It has helped me!

:welcome: to 3FC's ~ I really empathize with how you feel. We have a Faith-Based Support Group here also called 'CHRISTIAN ENCOURAGERS' ... feel free to drop by there sometime as well. Come back and post often, becuz that really helps a lot.

GETTINTHERE2 ~ ditto on those suggestions; fresh fruit are a good sub for sweets; try freezing them too for a treat (berries, bananas, grapes) ...

:welcome: The words New Zealand got me interested. I live in Auckland, North Island. Your son has come over to some nice weather. And I am sure he would like a healthier mum when he gets back. One of the things I do when I find myself wanting to eat at nite, is to go to bed earlier with a good book. Sort of keeps me away from the kitchen lol.
You have come to a great place, lots of people in here to help.
Stick around and good luck.
PS. Don't worry we will look after your son.

Thank you for all of your kind words! Right now, I am just trying to make the right choices. I am also trying the protein shake thing, but have not been able to figure out which one is best. I am taking one meal at a time.
