My name is Kari, I'm 30 years old, the mom of three and engaged to be married this June. I've already lost around 50lbs over the past two years, but have slowed down considerably, now it's time for me to lose that last 30 lbs. I wasn't a fat bride the first time and sure as **** won't be one this time. I've tried all sorts of diets having been heavy ish for most of my adult life. Currently trying the South Beach Diet. Any one out there with any suggestions or looking for a pen pal I'm here.
congrats on the marriage and the 50 pound already lost! have you checked in weight watchers! its a good system, the only thing that has ever worked for me! good luck
Congrats on the 50 so far. I've done South Beach off and on and do a lot better on South Beach then most anything else. Phase 1 is hard but Phase 2 is easier and seems fairly simple to follow.
I don't know if you get the WE channel but they have a show on ther called the Bulgin Brides and the premise is Brides to be that want to lose weight but also get in shape to get into a smaller dress size. If may give you some ideas for working out and for eating. Have you gone to FitDay there is a goal area that you can put in your info and find out how much you need to lose each week to get to that point and will change as you lose weight and re-enter your information.

I think it is definitley doable!!! I personaly am doing the Fat Smash diet from 'The Celebrity Fit Club', I chose this diet after reading though several different diet forums on the site... and noticed everyone who stuck to this plan lost 10-20lbs the first month!
Feb 1st I was 184lbs and I was watching what I ate calorie wise, I started Fat Smash 12 days ago and I now weigh 170 lbs! So in less than 30 days I lost 14 lbs! I've never lost more than 10lbs in a month except for the very first time I lot weight at 235.
Anyways it's worth a shot, I think you should at least do Phase1 which is 9 days long It's a book and I picked mine up at the library! Good luck... and congrats!!!
The wedding is on June 7th. I'm counting down the days, I have a day counter on my laptop that tells me how many days I have left until the wedding, but I know it really means how many days I have to lose the weight. So far I like SB the best...it's not too hard to follow and easier to cook for the family as well. I'm loving the weight loss trackers everyone has up, how do I get one?
It's great to know that there is a support system available to us all. I'll be checking in on Monday with the way in. I try not to weigh every day as my weight tends to flucuate too much...but I'm definetly watching my inches. Thanks for all the reply's

Hey Kari...Id like to lose the same amount of weight by May 31...SO....lets do this together...if youd like! We are the same height and our start weight was the same...when I started this journey...I did make it down to 172...in September...but since than have gained a whole crud load...SO....I know we can support eachother in this!! I will keep you posted on my daily challenges and things I do...and eat! I am starting to count the calories and work out tomorrow!! SOOO....good luck!!! and chat with you again soon!!
