Hi Everyone! :)

  • Hello everyone! My name is Julie and I'm a 21 year old college student. I never really cared about my weight until I was a senior in High School and I decided that over the summer (before my first year of college) that I wanted to lose some weight. I started at 168 and in a year I was down to 140ish. I stayed that weight for a while, but slowly I began to slack off and all my weight came back on (plus more)...
Anyways, I could go on about what I think went wrong, but in the end I just became lazy. Iv been trying to get back to my eating healthy/exercising schedule for the past year, but I can't seem to stick with it for more then a month at a time. I just think I need a place where I can talk to people who understand, ya know?

So that's my weight issue in a nut shell!!
But other then that...I like to draw, read, watch movies, and lots of other fun stuff!
  • Hey Julie -

You know what you need to do, right? So step two...just do it!

There are tons of folks here for support, and everyone shares that understanding of what it is like to be at a weight you're uncomfortable with. So settle in and get to posting. You might fit well in the 20-somethings forum (even though you're not quite there yet...you're close!). We also have several other college students that post around.

Find a spot and jump on in. Can't wait to get to know you better.
  • Hi there &

Oh boy do we all understand!!!

Forget sticking with things for a month. It's one day at a time. Each day, healthy choices & healthy activities. There have been some great suggestions recently about keeping track of each day. And each day that we eat well & exercise, to put an "X" on a calendar. Or a sticker or something. Then we can look back over the weeks and check out our progress. (Maybe some Sailormoon stickers or stuff )

Please do keep posting around (you might like the 20-something's area). And let us all know how you're doing!

    Best of success!!!

    PS - My favorite's Sailorjupiter.
  • Welcome, Julie!
So, how old did you THINK you were?
