Hi there! This day marks the beginning of (another) weight loss journey for me. I browsed this forum looking for some inspiration and guess what, I found it.

I read a couple of different posts that said in order to be successful, you have to take the emotion out of it. Instead of letting "feelings" take over, take control and do what needs to be done. Treat it like a job. That is what I am going to do!!

So here I am. I would love an email buddy for encouragement and accountability. If you're interested please message me.

There are tons of groups you can settle into for encouragement and accountability...we have groups by plan or by age group (20-somethings, 30-somethings, etc), so find a spot and get to posting.

I like you have embarked on many weight loss journeys but I am sure this one is different. I have been here since the middle of january and have had great success.

This board is great for inspiration and support so come and post often!!

Do you know what type of plan you are going to do?
I am basically doing my own thing: low cal, low carb, portion control.

I would be happy to be your buddy it seems like we started at similar weights and have similar goals!! I'm here for the long haul!!

Oh BTW there is a canadian thread do a search for canucks and you should find it.

By any chance are you in Toronto? I happen to be looking for a walking buddy!

I'm not in Toronto, sorry. I actually was until a couple of months ago. I moved to a smaller community a couple hours away.

It is snowing like mad in our little community a few hours from Toronto. It's one of those days I'm glad I have 3FC to browse around. I'm certainly not going for a walk tonight! Reading here will keep me focussed instead.
