I am a single mom in wheredidyousaythatwasitsnotonthemap, Wyoming, and am still struggling (after 7 years of knowing what works for me) to stick with it long enough to lose weight and maintain it. I want so much to be healthy and fit for my kids, and for me, but the motivation comes and goes. Usually it comes in the presence of a mirror/my clothes/cute guys-which are few and far between here - and goes whenever I get close enough to hear the chocolate or bread calling my name. So... I thought I would sign up for this, see if it doesnt help, and really give it a go. I am approaching my mid thirties quickly, so I need to do something before my body and metabolism start working against me too.

Do you know what sort of plan you're going to follow? We have chats for all kinds of different ways of eating, including calorie counting, whole foods, etc, so just settle in. We also have chat groups by age range (you might visit the 30-somethings forum) or by amount of weight to lose (the 100 lb club is so awesome, and a great place to post), as well as miscellaneous groups and challenges.

More important than where you post is that you keep posting! Stick around...we can't wait to get to know you better!

Yes, do it now! I'm 43, and the weight is coming off much more slowly than it used to.
