hello!, I am new from Ohio.
Hi, my name is Tracy and this is my first post. I am 45 yrs old, married, with no children. I am a security officer.I found this site while looking for diet recipes. I have been lurking around and checking out the site for awhile. I had been trying to work up the courage to start trying to diet again . This site is wonderful and full of help and information. I am in awe of some of your success stories. The support that you give to each other is wonderful.
Reading some of your success stories motivated me to try again. So On Jan 5-I started again . I have given up caffeine , and have started eating lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. I have slowly started some exercise, and I have been doing 15 min a night on my bike. I was 276 lbs. on jan 5. I just weighed myself on feb 1 and I am down to 261 lbs. I have a long way to go, and it is going to take some time. I hope that one day I will get to share my own success story. I look forward to making friends with all of you. |
Hi Tracy, and :wel3fc:
Wow - 15 lbs so far! That's awesome! You may want to check out a couple areas of the forum that fit your situation well...the "100 lb club" is a group of folks who have lost or are on their way to losing 100 lbs or more...it is a very active forum, and they have their own chat threads and other discussions. You could also look at the "40-somethings" forum. They also have their own chats, discussions, weigh-ins, etc. Other than that, just post wherever you'd like and settle in...can't wait to get to know you better, and, before you know it, read your story in the Goal forum! |
Welcome... I'm new too and also from Ohio. 43, married with 2 great kids. I'm a life long yo-yoer. I was 128 five years ago and have moved up to 212 over the past 2 years after suffering a bad lower leg injury. After being on both sides of the fat /thin world, I can tell you people treat you so differenlty when you're fat. I'm doing my own thing now and have been binge free for 5 days now. Trying to drop at least 20 pounds before spring break -- the end of march. This seems like a great plance to share experiences. Glad I found it.:carrot:
