New to 3FC - 30yrs - looking for support & maybe a kick in the butt?

Hi! I'm 30 years old and from Canada. Weighing in at 203.0lbs as of Feb 1st. Looking to make some big changes in my life. I started with NurtiSystem on the 1st of the month - decided to give it a two month trial and see what I can make happen. It's all about portion control for me - and thats a huge problem for me. So we'll see if I can stick to it.

Looking for like minded, close weight gals to share journey with.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a support group I should join?
Looking to be accountable to someone other than myself.

Facts about me: 30 yrs, 5' 8". Married 2 years. No kids.
Shift work in health care. Sometimes tough when dieting.

Thanks all.

And I highly reccommend reading all over the place and posting whever you feel like you have something to say or ask. Make yourself at home. We're glad you're here.

Hi Skinny Thoughts!

I'm 38, married 12 years with two boys. 5 foot 8 and 197 lbs. I started my new life on January 8th at 206 lbs....did I mention I'm from Canada too? Looking for an accountability partner as well....maybe even a cheerleader?:carrot:

I tried Nutrisystem in my 20s but they went out of business for a while so I lost my membership $s...I didn't have much success in keeping the weight off because they do the portioning for you. I found I didn't learn very much :^:
I hope you have better success.

I understand the shifts making it tough, it is really hard having two growing boys who can eat ANYTHING and do, in my house...they eat about 4000 - 5000 calories a day :smug:

keep on thinking those slim thoughts!
