New and ready to rock!

Hey ladies!!
I am new to posting, not new to checking out all the awesome stuff you have on this forum.
I have had it. I am sick of being overweight, and more sick of blaming other external forces for it. I'm taking charge, it's not going to be easy, but hopefully with the support of friends, family, and you guys, I can do it!
My fiancee and I broke up a few months ago, right when I started to work out more and eat better, so of course it was hard to keep up with and instead of feeling empowered I felt lethargic.
I know that if I continue I will become one with the couch, and I am not allowing that to happen...
Thanks for listening, I hope to make some new friends!!

Hey there & :wel3fc: Pinupgirl ^^

You CAN do this! Have you thought about food & exercise? What are your plans? Let us know! Sometimes telling others is what helps get our behinds off of the cushy sofas ^^

Best of luck!

Hey pinupgirl, and :wel3fc:

Love your avatar!

You definitely CAN do this...way to go on taking a not-so-happy circumstance and deciding not to let yourself "become one with the couch".

What sort of plan are you following? We likely have a board for it here..we also have groups by age, as well as miscellaneous clubs and challenges. Settle in wherever you feel comfortable and keep posting.

Can't wait to get to know you better!

The one nice thing about being at home (my fi and were living together) is that my mom is a fitness fanatic! I love doing workout videos with her because we can laugh and have good time, instead of me doing it by myself...
In terms of food, my best friend (who went from 220 in high school to about 150!) has gained a little bit of weight back, and she is my "partner-in-crime" for pretty much everything... including being naughty when we go out to eat! So, we have both decided to make better choices.
I am soooo not looking forward to eating vegetables, but including them in my repertoire is important... I know I sound like a 5 year old!
THANKS so much for the welcome!!! :grouphug:

Welcome pinupgirl! Good luck on your journey and don't worry I'm not a veggie gal either.

this site has been an amazing place for me! knowing that everybody is here to support each other, help by answering questions, and picking you up when you have a bad day is the best! i don't go a day without getting on here and seeing what is going on!

I will have to make it here every day... I can see that it's a huge motivation to be able to progress along side other people and get support when you need it!
Luckily I have 2 good friends who are trying to lose weight as well; one is heavier than me and one is smaller. You become so conscious of what you are doing/eating when there is someone there to keep you on track!
I am in Minnesota, and right now it's a million degrees below zero, but I'm really excited for the warmer weather so I can finally take my dog on a walk and get outside!!
