My Introduction
I am a Navy wife and a mother of a 23 month old little boy. I am originally from California, but I now reside in Virginia, at least for another 6 weeks...:D
I had my son almost 2 years ago and gained a ton of weight with him. I was 20 pounds away from being at my pre-pregnancy size when I decided to go on the depo shot. I went from 170 to 238 in about 4 months. I was so disgusted and I thought that by going off of the shot that I would be back at my original size in no time. I was wrong:( I went to the doctor about 2 1/2 weeks ago and was told that I have high cholestoral and that I was over weight and needed to lose my weight soon. I have been having trouble getting pregnant with my second child and so I decided that now was as good a time as any. I went on a Low Fat diet and I started to exercise regularly. I lost about 12 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks, but I am starting to lose hope, in a way. I am realizing that I dont' have a lot of will power. I go to the gym everyday, but I'm starting to eat more food and now I am starting to eat the unhealthy ones too. I'm still trying real hard though;) |
At this point you might want to join a group effort at weight loss like WW or something where you meet/see/interact with other people making the effort. Might recharge your motivation batteries. You could also try looking at some of the before/after pics on this website - many of them are truly inspirational.
Oh, and welcome to 3FC! :welcome: |
:welcome2:
You can do this! Best of luck ^^ |
Hey there fellow Navy Wife
I know it's tough...Just keep hanging in there.
I'm sorry you had so much trouble on the pill. You could try when you feel like eating. i know, I have a 22month and 6month old daughter and when I fix the older one's lunch I end up nibbling off her plate, whether or not I'm hungry. maybe when you get those cravings, you could get outside with him. Go for a walk, do something..... |
