Hi everybody! I just signed up on this website. I recently bought the Bob Greene Diet after seeing him on Oprah. It's weird cause I had already started walking for 30 minutes a day and had been for the last month. So I'm guess I'm starting out in Phase Two already. I gave up Diet Pepsi, which I never thought I could do. Cut out fries about two months ago. I have a ton of weight to lose to get back to my "real" figure. About 100 lbs worth of it. Hope we can all encourage each other to stick with it. Portion size is probably going to be the hardest for me.

Thanks everybody! I have been reading the stories of those who met their goals and it's so inspiring.

I had a great figure for years, worked out every day etc. Once we moved out here (20 years ago!) my commute became 3 hours a day, I sat all day at work, and I pretty much let everything go. I was lucky enough to take early retirement, so I am determined to get my old body back (well as close as possible at this age LOL) I gained about 5 lbs every year, never took it off, and that's how I got to this point. I think another problem is I think I can still eat like I did when I was young and got so much exercise. Menopause is still down the line, and I don't want to put on even more weight. So I'm really going to make the effort.
